A low dollar isn't necessarily bad for Canadians. It attracts foreign business and investment. My father's photography business, for example, reliably makes more money when the dollar is weak.

Are you kidding? This is probably the best episode of Canadian Politics ever. I've been glued to the internet since Friday night. My ass is numb and my mouse battery is nearly dead. If they manage to drag this shit out for a week I will probably fail my Discrete Math exam.

I don't know, that depends on whether the Bloc are, in fact, committed to destroying the federation, which sounds to me like a gross oversimplification of a far more nuanced and complex ideology. It's like saying Harper is George Junior's best buddy and wants to bomb Iran, or that Jack Layton is a B...

So which is it? Well. I would have voted Liberal in 2006 but I was on vacation at the time. So yeah, mostly NDP. I shouldn't have been sneaky like that. So you are a one issue voter? If weed isn't part of a party policy you are out? How very inclusive. I'm not a one issue voter but weed is certainl...

Well anyways, for the record, I voted Green this year. I live in a Conservative stronghold riding so the only reason I vote is to ensure 2 bucks of my taxes get redirected towards my party of choice. Usually I vote NDP or Liberal but I cut them off this year for their unwillingness to form a coaliti...

EyeBrock EyeBrock:
Worse, he's NDP.

How flattering. For all you know, I voted for those libertarian whackjobs at the Marijuana party.

I am indifferent towards the Bloc, although I am the first to admit that despite speaking French as a second language, I don't really understand the issues surrounding Quebec sovereignty beyond the fact that England beat France in a war in the 18th century. I usually find myself agreeing with the Bl...

I would not be pleased but I certainly wouldn't venture to call it illegal or undemocratic. That would be, well, stupid.

I agree, a global economic crisis is hardly the time for political games and upset. But I'm prepared to give the new coalition the benefit of the doubt as the Conservatives' so-called economic stewardship has proven to be less than stellar. To say nothing of their track record in other areas. Exactl...

You imply that the Conservatives have all the answers but I'm not seeing any. As far as I can tell they are listless and think that marking $10 billion in unidentified "assets" for future sale is as good as having a balanced budget. The fact that we are currently in better economic shape t...
