Recently I've signed up for reserves and I was wondering how many people on these forums are in the military.
Your thoughts...

There aren't enough categories anyway. Sailors and airmen dislike being called soldiers. If you call a Royal Marine a soldier, book yourself a bed in the nearest hospital.

041 Field Engineer (ret'd). But my trade, alas, is no more. It's now 043 Combat Engineer.
Your profile says you are a "Weapons Specialist". That is a term I'm not familiar with. Care to elaborate?

It's not. Be fit. Be willing. If you're 17, get your parents to sign. If you're older, no problem. High school at least will help. Know what you like and dislike, so you can get a better idea of what trade you want to get into. You start at the bottom. You will have to earn your promotions, they don't give them away for free. I loved it.
Check out the army.ca site for specific aspects of the military.
16 years in, not sure of what a weapons specialist is, please enlighten.

If I may interject a bit of "history".
My father told me that during World War Two the doctor touched your arm and said,"He's warm".
