In R/Alberta recently, the mods have been deleting posts and banning users who call Premier Kenney nasty names, yet they never bothered to do so when Notley was Premier.
People can't figure out what is happening, but it seems like a directive came down from HQ and many users are pissed off at the hypocrisy (R/Alberta is dominated by left of centre users).
I have to agree with PD - this is about profitability, not censorship. Reddit's advertising history is only a couple years old and they are still refining it, much like Facebook did back in 2014/15.
Like many things, Reddit was great until profit became the overriding goal.
You Tube, Quora, and a lot of other social media are now censoring any posts critical of the Liberals and the Dippers relative to Alberta. I'd been following a guy from Edmonton who was posting videos trashing the left for the damage they did to Alberta and now he's gone like he never even existed.

My post was removed and I was given a warning for "drive-by snark". The post I responded to however, remained. Needless to say, I re-posted my "drive by snark" along with a four letter serenade to the mod/admin who censored me.
So yeah, the forum's mods/admin had no trouble with over-the-top leftard blanket accusations of racism but took issue with "drive by snark" directed at said leftard.
