Real Beauty Ha, cool film the bitch looked better once she was all done up. I mean after 5 or 6 beers I might have done her but after the S.F.X no beer needed. So the computer effects would save me money because I wouldn't have to buy any beer.

They do this for guy's too. In the movie Troy, Brad Pitt's body was done with computer animation. I always thought it was 'roids.

I work in the beauty industry and it's very discouraging to see a bunch of women trying to buy miracles in a jar. I am very careful to let them know there's only so much you can do with skin creams and cosmetics; most cosmeticians I know will try to convince them that a $200 product will be life altering, just for the commission. Diet, excersize and a healthy dose of self esteem are the fundamentals behind beauty.

It's insane how obsessed we are with superficiality as opposed to substance as a culture. That's why we spend more time thinking about vacuous idiots like Paris Hilton (who is actually a brunette with brown eyes, FYI) than great people with a message like David Suzuki, sigh.

The only shitty thing about Dove and their "education" campaign is the fact that the company still tests on animals, so they aren't beyond reproach by my standards...

The Swan (TV show) was a beauty contest where 16 women were transformed from "ugly ducklings" to beautiful Swans.. through plastic surgery. After the alterations they all competed for the Swan title.

A total of 151 surgeries were performed on these women. 9 of the women received breast implants, liposuction and had extensive work done on their teeth.

The winner Rachel Love-Fraser (3rd from the right) went through 9 operations.
