Her mom came over to visit last night and we chatted a bit. tl;dr version is that mom is fine with what we decided to do and we're still friends with her. I'll admit that I was worried about this.

The young lady is going to stay in Reno with a boyfriend since she had to move out of the dorm. Mom hasn't heard an awful lot from her aside from our cutting her off.

I showed mom the video and "aghast" is the word that comes to mind to describe her reaction.

That closes the book on the matter so far as we're concerned.

I may do that. The California Lottery permits creating a group of players and I'm going to look into setting up a group for CKA.
