scarecrowe scarecrowe: tritium tritium: Well some may consider this pretty fucking gay.. but oh well. I just bought an ecoped, top speed 32KM/H and range 60 KM. It's 100% electric, and just for in town. Cost at the pump $0.00, insurance $0.00 it's classed as a bike. http://www.ecoped.ca/Donate your legs to science. If you had actually clicked the like like I did you would have seen what he was talking about and no leg power is needed. Kind of a cool looking scooter there. If I lived in town it might be handy. Or if my commute wasn't so damned long. But for short trips around town that would be nice. Can't believe that you can get it at Walleyworld.

Looks snazy. A bit slow personally (45 mph would meet most city speeds).

Around here the local speed is 30KM/H which this does fine. Yes, it does have pedals that can be put in storage under the seat, but that is in case you didn't charge it and need to pedal home. 60km radius is also suffuice to the corner store, or local hardware, doctor.

...and what I meant was that if he does not need his legs to power this thing, then he should donate them to someone who needs legs.

Ah, the top speed is probaly meant to classify it a bike then. Well, that wouldn't stop me from modifying it though. I actually want to turn my bike into an electric one, but it's a crappy one and I feeling I would have problems with the gear shifting (it doesn't lock).

It is classified as a bike, meaning rather than pedalling to work, store, whatever I bike to work with a little help from an electric engine. No gas bill, no insurance, no bus fare... It's not to be driven like a car, but off to the side of the road like a bike, or on a bike path. If I need to go further or on a main hiway, I would drive my car, truck or motorcycle.
