Choban Choban: First of all, parents if they so choose have the option of not allowing thier kids to see such things as these music videos ect... I fully agree, and would also bet my life that the same parents ALLOW there kids to watch music videos Choban Choban: second, there used to be a thing in this country called professionalism and another one called ethics, both of which are violated when teachers simulate sex acts in front of children. That may be so but that has nothing to do with my opion does it?. Just need something to bitch at eh?. Choban Choban: I gotta ask, do you have kids??? I'm assuming not as most parents I know would have an issue with their kids teachers acting like this. I have no kids thankefully for all . These same kids will see worse on there way home from school. I keep watching the video to see the problem and sorry i just dont. If you do then that's fine, that's your OPINON, and your welcome to it

I can't disagree with you there, problem is parents that allow this shit in their homes sholdn't bitch about it anywhere else, it's a double standard then and they are nothing but hyppocrites $1: That may be so but that has nothing to do with my opion does it?. Just need something to bitch at eh?.
Need Nothing to bitch at, simply pointing out why in a school such behavior is unacceptable, the only place it's acceptable to see a lap dance to me is a strip club $1: These same kids will see worse on there way home from school. I hardly think my kids will see worse on their way home from school, in my experience when my children walk home from school they see nothing more than passing cars, pedestrians and their friends. My problem with it is that my kids are at school to learn academics, not lap dancing. I'd be just as affronted if they were watching music videos ect. For your benifit I should mention that I'm very open with my children, we talk about drugs, sex, smoking, alcohol, violence ect on a regular basis, I'm not one for babying or over sheltering kids, I believe parents have to realistic about the world our kids are growing up in, that however does not excuse immoral , irrational, unethical and unprofessional actions being demonstrated to my children at school. It's one thing for your 10 year old son to stumble across something like porn on the internet or drug use by the neighborhood pot heads, quite another issue when it's demonstrated at his school by people that are supposed to be educating him.

Lapses in judgement like these two exhibitionists displayed, may help explain why our childrens education is rapidly becomming a secondary priority in the schools.
Once upon a time teachers were looked up to and respected by the community, not so anymore and this is just another shining example of why.

Lemmy Lemmy: I hope they enjoyed their year of Teachers' College and the tuition money they wasted. Say "bye-bye" to the teaching profession. Que?? Education is a 5 yr university degree just for the standard B.Ed. Mind you if this is the calibre of teacher being produced now I have to wonder where things have gone wrong. Well, it does tend to usually attract the self proclaimed liberal types.

Tricks Tricks: Meh, I've seen worse in music videos, on tv, and in movies. Over blown. I've got to disagree here Tricks. These two are supposed to be professionals charged with the education of our youth. They failed miserably, and deserve to be punished. What that punishment entails I'll leave up to the Winnipeg school board, but I don't think these two idiots are going to like it very much.

Was it unprofessional? Sure. Should they be punished? Probably. But to make a massive deal out of it is over the top.
I know this isn't the case, and what ifs are generally a bad idea... But what if this was done as an example of what students can do instead of having sex?

As for making it a big deal, it is. Regardless if kids today see worse on the net, and I don't doubt most do, these two have lost any respect from their students that they may have had. We hold police and military members to higher standards than most others, and I think we should include teachers as well. They showed piss poor judgement by engaging in a behaviour that they had to know would end up on the internet and result in a huge uproar. It makes me wonder if they have made other questionable decisions in the classroom.

I can almost guarantee the opposite has happened. Those will be the "cool" teachers now. Kids will be more likely to go to their classes that a 50 year old stuck up prude.

Chances are they won't be around long enough to become the 'popular' teachers.

Now isn't that special If I was one of these kids parents I'd much rather have my under age children attend classes taught by one of these "cool" teachers than some hick educator who's not gonna be able to pass on such basic life skills as lap dancing. You wanna know something, years ago the "cool" teachers were the ones who actually got their students interested and actively involved in their subjects.
