 Although they weren't all Canadian I would say The Band was/is Canada's best band, even though they are no longer? Two member's Ronny Hawkin's and Levon Helm are American's it's true. The other's were all from Ontario and they began their career in Canada playing mostly eastern city's, Toronto especially, before leaving the Hawk to go it on their own.
Ending up as Bob Dylan's backup band for a bit firstly, they moved together to Woodstock New York to write and record their first huge successful release Music From Big Pink, and also the now classic Basement Tape's again with Dylan while he recuperated from a near fatel motorcycle accident, and the rest as they say, is history.
Saw these guy's san's Robby Robertson one time in the mid 90's in Vancouver BC and it was far and away the greatest most musically entertaining concert I have ever attended, bar none! Rush couldn't hold a candle to these guy's, and Geddy Lee isn't fit to be mentioned in the same breath as these truely talanted and gifted people, on his best day, in my opinion anyway. Never could stand that man's hysterical woman like voice!@=

Dick? Cock? What leather-wearing, ass-cheek-baring, bug-eyed-staring bars do you go to?

I want to jump in a lake, I want to jump in a lake.

Pretty repetitive, but I liked that song.

well you noticed 1 glitch that I apoligize for It turns out Dee snider was born in New York state.. I met him when he was living in ottawa. at the time he was doing a program across canada for youth in colleges. one of the leading advocates for making certain drunks weren't leaving establishments with thier vehicles.. awareness campaigns etc.... I will remove The TS from the list.
