Scape Scape:
I think Musk paid far too much for the brand and he could have launched his own platform and people would have signed up for it with the same result. It's odd but I can't speak to the mans ego. He may have something else in mind for twitter. Considering how much influence twitter has in the US market I think this is his idea of social reform by forcing twitter to change the channel to one that is more accepting of libertarian ideals (whatever they are).
Why would he start his own when he obviously has the means to buy an established product?
If Elon had launched his own Twitter analog, like Trump did, no one would have cared except for his fan boys.
I'll reserve judgment until actual changes happen, but if he lets traitors like Trump back on, or cuts back on all the anti-hate protections on there, then people will leave the platform.
