I'd appreciate a little honesty from one of you guys if you could explain why it's so insulting to be compared to a girl... and maybe then you might begin to understand why it's so insulting to us.
What male would want to be compared to a girl? Also if I was a woman I wouldn't want to be compared to a man. I'd imagine some girls would be insulted being called a tom boy, and some wouldn't. I certainly wouldn't want to be compared to a woman.

I AM a tomboy, but definitely NOT manly. HUGE difference. I have always been "one of the guys" but never manly ;-)

I depends on your point of view I guess. I've grown up with girls my sister for one, who enjoyed being called a tom-boy. I imagine however that some girls might not like that description.

But what's wrong with being compared to a woman?
If you're not a woman why would you want to be called one? A woman has body features that I do not want, well as part of me anyway. They have traits and tendencies that as a man I do not want. They tend to be weaker. What man wants to be called weak?

Tricks... I asked why you would be pissed off to be mistaken for a Japanese. Your response was that you'd be worried about the person's eyesight.

Fine... but that doesn't explain why you'd be pissed off.

$1:
Because I don't look Japanese.

Yes... precisely.

Men seem to find it humiliating to be called feminine.
Or Cops hate wearing silly childish armbands. And Women find it humiliating to be called manly. See, you keep coming back to this, yet you never answered whether or not if someone called you manly if you'd be insulted.

But that isn't the same thing. The first line of insult to a woman isn't to call her a man, so why do boys get their knickers in a knot if they're called girly... and why won't most of them wear pink?
Because girly=wimpy and pink=gay.

Happy now?

I don't look Japanese either, but when someone asked if I was, I said no... I wasn't "pissed off".
Why would you be pissed off?
Cause I don't have any attributes that are typically associated with the Japanese.

$1:
If they meant it as an insult, then maybe I'd rise to the bait and be insulted.
Well why is that? Why is being called manly insulting? What's wrong with it?

How is it not the same thing? It's the exact same fucking thing just roles switched. Fuck you're so bias you can't even see it.

Why don't guys want to be called girly? Because girly is a bad thing for a guy. Yeah, it is the equivalent to calling him a wimp, or a wuss. Why won't they wear pink? I just don't like the colour. I don't know about anyone else.

Two points here Lily

Tricks doesn't look remotely Japanese. If someone were to say that he looked Japanese THEY would have an agenda in that not him.

Not all of us are ball breakers. Save me from the FEMININE man. I like a man to look like a man,act like a man, sound like a man. If he thinks being compared to a girl is a good thing. He is NOT the man for me.

So you don't look Japanese... I don't either. Why would you be pissed off, rather than simply bemused? Is being mistaken for a Japanese something to be pissed off and insulted by?
If I look nothing like them, then yes.
$1:
Calling a girl a tomboy isn't an insult. Calling a boy the equivalent is.

Yes, it's a bias, Tricks, but it's not my bias... it's society's.
I know a lot of girls that if they were called tomboys would be pretty pissed off. So yes, it is your bias.

$1:
Yours too, if you were honest enough to admit it.
I don't want to be called a girl, girls don't want to be called guys. It's even on both sides of it. You just can't admit it because it doesn't play with your feminist fantasy of men oppressing you. Get a grip.

I don't look remotely Japanese either, but once again... I wasn't pissed off when someone asked if I was.

Why would Tricks be? What's so "insulting" about being mistaken for a Japanese?

Oh k let me spell this out. If you don't LOOK Japanese chances are the person saying you look as such is racist. It is meant to be an insult. If someone said are you black would you be insulted Lily?

The more you claim not to have a bias, the more you prove you do.
Here come the vague comments.
