This is such a good idea. Strange way to punish someone but proably effective.

They should do this in the military, too! It'd be worse than a trip to the brig!!!

I think that if they have partners on their beats, then one should have Hello Kitty and the other partner should have Hello Kitty's evil twin, Goodbye Kitty....This way you could identify the Good Cop/Bad Cop right away....

That's sends a nice message. Making macho cops wear something overtly feminine to punish them. Idiots.

A little humility never hurt anyone!
Make then show that they are not god and can do what they want.

I think you're missing the point.
Why do they need to be humiliated by being feminised?
Unless somehow hello kitty and the colour pink are not feminine in Thailand, which I highly doubt.

Ever met a Thai cop? They have never heard of the word humble or even respect...

Perhaps, but I don't think using something like hello kitty to humiliate them sends a good message to the general public. If they lack respect there are better ways to reprimand them, but that's neither here nor there. Fact is that it's a poor choice by Thai authorities and it in itself shows a general disregard and disrespect for women.

$1:
...it in itself shows a general disregard and disrespect for women
Why is that? It is more like disrespect to men then to women, in my opinion. Especially in a country as Thailand. It is not a western society there...

You seem like a smart woman, so I don't know why you need an explanation as to how feminising a police officer is disrespectful to women.
It's saying that being feminine, being girly, the colour pink..which is traditionally a feminine colour is all a bad thing that should be laughed at and can be used to make someone in a powerful position humiliated. It's wrong on so many levels.

And not being a western society isn't an excuse. Being enlightened towards equal rights among all humans is something all cultures should strive towards.
That's like saying "Saddam's rape chambers were fine...I mean..we're not talking about a western society here!"
To a lesser degree.

I'm really surprised that I haven't been swamped with a bunch of anti-feminist rhetoric. Was I wrong about you, CKA?
