ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

Good on him got the job done and made a fashion statement at the same time

ps. I think the only protective wear as such is a helmet. He had the most important thing he needed and that was a gun.

He has his helmet and body armour/vest on,therefor he is protected and has ammo, when the shit hits the fan, next to your weapon, that is what you grab, your pants can wait, 30 seconds is a long time to have a weapon out of a fire fight. Good on him, if someone can show me a pair of combat pants that stop bullets or shrapnel, I'd love to hear about it.

How more protected can you get when you've got your lucky underwear on?

They're fortunate he had underwear on. I can't speak for the Army but I know half the Navy didn't wear underwear in their racks.

It made for some pretty weird looking scenario's when the action alarm sounded. 20 naked guys running aroung looking for flashgear, lifebelts and their clothes. ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

I always slept with a T-shirt and boxers on, just in case there was action stations drill. Try getting into a wet suit when you're out of it.

Naw, most of the guys back then made enough money from the poker games and personal laundry charges to overcome any misgivings they had about doing the washing.

It was a plum assignment for a WU and a Stoker.

Boxers it is. Commando is frowned on these days - both for the guys and the girls.

What I wonder though... The rest of the guys are all wearing their full outfits. Doesn't that mean that either, this guy is making a funny, OR if this is serious, he is just a lazy shit who couldn't get dressed in the time he got, while the rest of his mates could?
