In the last two weeks I saw Elysium and Kick-Ass 2:

Elysium:.......I liked District 9 more to be honest. There was more action and a bit more story than Elysium. That said, Elysium is still really good. The action is entertaining, Sharlto Copely makes a great psychopath, and Jodie Foster does a good Dick Cheney with a snatch impression.

Kick-Ass 2: The review have been pretty brutal (28% at Rotten Tomatoes) but I saw it anyway. The reviews were pretty accurate, though harsh. It's not as good as the first one was and it tries to be a little too meta for my liking. Then again, it's pretty funny too. But maybe wait for DVD or a good cam job to hit the Web.

Ben Affleck will don Batman's cape and cowl.

Warner Bros. announced Thursday that the 41-year-old actor-director will star as a new incarnation of the Dark Knight in a film bringing Batman and Superman together.

Uggh, is Snyder serious about this? Way to ruin a movie before it even goes into production. Maybe we'll get lucky and Affleck will pull off some sort of Heath Ledger type of performance but I seriously doubt it. In fact I've got a feeling this will rank right up there with casting Val Kilmer and George Clooney as the caped crusader (I actually didn't mind Clooney as batman but I think I'm in the minority on that one).

Thankfully Marvel got the rights to Daredevil back so we may see a good one yet.
