Civ3 crappy!? Blasphemy! It was better than Civ4 IMO. Possibly the best Civ, although I never played Civ1.

Personally if there's one universally hailed game I didn't like, it has to be KotOR.

I love Civ3 and Civ4, although I've got to rate Civ 4 a little bit higher, but not by much.

And I got bored of KotOR really fast (luckily it was a friend who rented it, not me)

Alpha Centauri was awsome I still play it.

I would have to stay Star Wars Galaxies was the worst not the game but the way Sony totaly ruined it with the way they supported it.

I have to agree, Alpha Centauri was a rockin game.

Worst game ... *scratches his head* There are so many. Seems like all game makers are targeting consol gamers and completely fogeting about pc gamers. Games seem so dumbed down and geared towards button mashing now a days. That or else they gear the game for online play and completely forget about the single player mode.

Battlefield 2142, big dissapointment. Starfleet Command III sucked in so many was it wasn't even funny. LOTR, all of them excpt the online one (I haven't tried that one yet).

I find I buy new games and play for about a week then end up going back to my old games. Age of Wonders I and II, Alpha Centauri (my disc is scratched ), Mechwarior II and III (merc), IL2, .... Age of empires II and III and civ 3 ( I can't seem to play civ 4 long enough to enjoy it). I hope they do anouther mec warrior one day.

I wish they would start realizing that not all people who play games are 12 years old.

I remember the first time I played Halo 1/2. My friends said it was the best game EVER. Then I play, and see its the lamest thing ever. There is no sense of cover. Jumping around like a dumbass isn't a war game. Sometimes you need to hide behind a car or something, but no, if you jump enough nobody can hit you.

Where do I start? Well I got a long list but my very biggest dissapointment was Spore. It could have been a great game. Infact if anybody saw the original trailer for the game. The parts were far more complex, you can add bones like for the legs and arms. Morph the entire skeleton structure to make more complex creatures that not only looked great but moved great instead of just being able to morph the spine. The creatures in the released versions just looked like retarded blobs.

They had a sea phase after the cell phased which they removed. The game use to have complex actions like biting into a meal and dragging it. Maybe back to your nest for the rest to have a share of the meal.

The Tribal Phase was far more complex, you had customizable tools and able to put down drum sets and give specific ones weapons for the hunter party and the stage acted like the creature stage basicly but your creatures hunted in packs in a strategy like view with tools. In the released version they made it arcade styled and all the cool options were either transformed to a arcade style or removed. The tribal stage was so basic and horrible.

The Space Stage was the most funnest but however that fun diddn't last very long because the game-play was the exact same. It made you want to either start a new game to go through stages or just un-install the game entirely. Those planet defenders were useless as well. You go forever just trying to afford the things and they can't even be used when you aren't on the planet. Your city just gets pillaged/destroy despite them being there. You always had to be on the planet for defense despite whatever you wanted to do or were doing. Which kind of defeats the purpose of them and ruins the whole exploring part of the game when you get constant pirate raids, eco threats and grox attacks not to mention attacks from any enemies you made beside you.

I later found out that the original game they previous showed was downgraded because the company maxis was working with I think EA forced them to do so, so the game could appeal and be played by kids. Get a bigger target range of consumers.

I'll probably be hung for this but I have to say the Final Fantasy series as a whole. It just... I dunno, what is so appealing about it? I don't understand, every damn game it's the same things... same battle system (up until 12 I think, but still...), etc.

I sort of agree with Halo even though it is one of my favorite series. I used to be blindly devoted to it until I played far better shooters than it like System Shock 2 (FPS/RPG), BioShock, Deus Ex, Crysis, etc. Still, it holds a place in my heart.

This amazes me, but Red Alert 3 is even more terrible than Red Alert 2, but the game was overhyped excessively. It was depressing.

Gotta be fan of extensive RPGs, story is generally pretty decent too.


Worst over hyped game? Probably inFamous. Started off good, but got pretty boring. Still haven't beat it. Just can't stick with it.

And yeah, MW2 has taken over for me from Doom 3. MW2 went back to EB the day after I picked it up.
