Watch a video or two about the interactions between hyenas and lions and how each species will target certain pack/pride members(usually an alpha) and kill them to destabilize their rivals. Perhaps what we construe as evil is just the next step up in preservation of the species/individual. In the end most 'evil' is the result of self interest(greed).
