OK i have searched around for some answered to this, with nothing really concrete found.

My question is what is better or worse for you in the short term and long term.

I am a Coca Cola addict, I love Coke, there is no option to stop drinking

But what im wondering which would be "better" for me. The new Coke C2 has half the sugar but uses aspartame.

There is some unknowns about aspartame and is it really any better than the sugar?

So would it be better to just have normal coke or C2 with half the suger but with aspartame.


I kinda figured since im young an dhave no heart or health problems, I can handle the sugar, so for now im sticking with Classic Coca Cola. I think over the long run there might be some problems with aspartame.

well, aspartame is under close scrutiny because some studies have linked it to some serious side effects. I prefer the acesulfame pottasium aspartame combo for flavour, or splenda which is merely a chlorinated sugar molecule.

Well I don't even know what aspartame is. It sounds a bit iffy. I'll stick to good old coca cola.

aspartame is what they use exclusively in diet coke, which is what makes diet coke taste like shit. basically, you are being scammed, IMO. you could make your own "C2" by taking a glass and mixing half a can of classic coke and half a can of diet coke.

Pros and Cons of Coke C2

Pros

* Color and consistency is identical to Coca-Cola Classic
* Nearly zero aftertaste
* If it wasn't directly compared to the original (within seconds of each other), it would have been very hard to tell C2 from Classic Coke.
* Much better than Diet Coke

Cons

* Limited availability (at this time)
* Doesn't taste exactly like Coca-Cola Classic
* Slightly less "kick" than regular Coke

I was severly addicted to Pepsi in America, but now 4 years later and I have found a way to break the addiction to soda in general....Drink the british version of what your used to, made me quit cold turkey fer sure.Hubby grew up his first 10 years in Canada and has missed the lovely taste of Root Beer for 30 years now, but finally Asda, the British answer to walmart, has come out with a brand of root beer, which he says does taste like he remembers.
