I've had the flu shoot 4 times, the 4 years I was in the army. I got the flu all 4 years. I've had the flu 2 other times in my whole life. I think i'll skip the flu shoots thank you very much.

I'm just posting to bring this to the top of the list again. I am curious about what people have to say. I never get a shot but I often wonder if I should.

I had the flu once and it sucked like nothing had ever sucked before. Advil was my best friend that week.

I have been getting the flu shot for several years now and I have not gotten sick. After I got my first one I got a mild case that year but never since. Its free in ontario and they do it at the neihgbourhood grocery store.

I get the flu shot every year through my work. No side affects that I've noticed, although I've still gotten the flu.... but maybe not as bad as without the shot... who knows.

Ive had flu shots for 3 years now,To tell you the truth they dont do dik, you can still get the fn flu maybe not as bad,but you can still get it.But what the hell Ill do it again this year.

You cannot get the flu from a flu shot, it is a dead virus.

Thanks for all the info Avro. I think the reason I don't usually get sick is because I wash frequently and wear gloves doing personal care. Last weekend I actually caught myself ducking into a store when the 2 people in front of me were sneezing and hacking. This has nothing to do with getting the shot or not. If you don't use good practice during flu and cold season chances are you will get something that is not included in this year's vaccine.
