$1: Daniel Prude: No charges for US officers over 'spit-hood' death
New York police officers filmed restraining an unarmed black man until he stopped breathing will not be charged over his death, officials say.
Daniel Prude, who had mental health issues, died in Rochester city after officers put him in "spit hood" designed to protect police.
The death in March last year led to days of protests against police.
On Tuesday, New York's attorney general said a grand jury had declined to indict any officers in the case.

This is what happens when people don't face consequences for their actions: they keep killing people.

How messed up is this? This guy is the state's attorney general, which means he is the top cop in the state. He hits a man with his car. The mans head goes through his windshield, leaving his eyeglasses in the car. The DA just drives away from the scene leaving the man to die on the side of the road. Now we are talking about impeachment? If this happened to any of us, we would be sitting inside a jail cell awaiting trial for manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, etc., etc.

$1: Breonna Taylor's boyfriend Kenneth Walker cleared of shooting police officer
The boyfriend of Breonna Taylor has had an attempted murder charge against him dropped after he shot and wounded a police officer at his home.
It happened during the incident when Breonna Taylor, a young black medic with no criminal record, was shot dead.
Kenneth Walker had claimed he thought intruders were breaking-in when police raided his home in Kentucky last year.
No criminal charges have ever been brought over the shooting. Two officers were eventually fired.
Breonna's death was one of several in recent years which contributed to global protests against racism and police brutality in 2020.
During the raid, Kenneth Walker fired at the officers who he said he believed were attackers breaking into the couple's home.
Police claim they made it clear who they were before knocking the front door down.
They reportedly knocked on the door to announce their presence before breaking it down with a battering ram.
Breonna's boyfriend said he then fired out of self-defence. Three officers returned fire with 32 shots - six of which hit and killed her.
Her name became part of a global Black Lives Matter protest as people demanded a thorough investigation into her death.

Great follow-up on the bad actors from 2020. As expected they all got off with no charges. Shocker.

$1: Five Oklahoma City officers charged in fatal shooting of 15-year-old boy
Five Oklahoma City police officers were charged in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy who was a robbery suspect last year, according to court records filed Wednesday.
Officers Bethany Sears, Jared Barton, Corey Adams, John Skuta and Brad Pemberton face first-degree manslaughter charges in the death of Stavian Rodriguez during a reported armed robbery at a gas station last November.
Stavian died of 13 gunshot wounds, according to a probable cause affidavit from the Oklahoma County district attorney’s office, and the officers are accused of unnecessarily shooting at him after they simultaneously gave the teen varying commands. Police say the boy was initially armed, but Stavian’s family and the district attorney contend that he complied with officers to drop his weapon and was unarmed when they started shooting.

Houston police shoot a 1-year-old child in the head while pursuing a robbery suspect$1: A 1-year-old boy is "fighting for his life" and struggling to breathe on his own after being shot in the head by Houston police, the baby's mother and attorneys representing her said Tuesday.
The shooting took place March 3 when Daisha Smalls was pumping gas and she saw police cars and heard sirens, she said in a news conference Tuesday. Her son, Legend, was in the back seat of the vehicle. Smalls said a man then got into her vehicle and told her to give him the car. https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/16/us/houst ... index.html

More trigger happy cops not caring who or what they’re shooting at. They shot at a car with a kid in it. While parked next to a gas pump.
I saw the mother giving a press conference and I was amazed by her restraint. I would be incandescent with rage in her position.

$1: Texas police officers indicted in Black man’s 2019 death while filming TV show
Two former Texas sheriff’s deputies were arrested Tuesday on manslaughter charges in the 2019 death of a man whom they shocked with stun guns after a police chase that was filmed by real-time police TV series “Live PD,” authorities said.
The charges are the first directly tied to the death of Javier Ambler, a Black man whose car deputies chased for 22 minutes after trying to pull him over for allegedly failing to dim his headlights to oncoming traffic. Ambler, a former postal worker, died after deputies repeatedly used stun guns on him, despite his pleas that he was sick and couldn’t breathe. The stop in suburban Austin was caught on camera by “Live PD,” which was cancelled by the A&E Network in June.
The indictments were announced as a former Minneapolis police officer is being tried in the death of George Floyd, a case that has again brought police brutality and racial injustice to the forefront in the U.S.
