Sure, why not? We have record high unemployment but take care of the important things like arts funding. After all winning is what matters.

Arts and culture are jobs for many people in Quebec. And cutting funding for them was what caused harper to be in the crapper in Quebec.. Its important to Quebecers.

Cirque de soleil aint that great, i'd rather go listen to a KISS cover band than watch some dude in tights jump around ropes.

I went to see "Love" in Vegas. It was awesome.

I bet 75c and hit the sevens. a pot full of tokens came out and the wife and I collected them .. the bell and light was on.. but stupid me put more coins in and pulled the lever..dont know how much it would have been but we walked away from it.. duh! still have night mares about it

if 2 bit acts like brittany spears can make money, then i think arts and culture should be able to make money from their educated and culturally enlightened supporters. if their own supporters are too damn cheap to cough up the cash, then that is proof to me that no one values the art and culture.

i am in favor of a venture capital style of funding to help develop new arts and culture, but anything that has been on government welfare for more than a decade deserves to get their fundng pulled.

Vegas is just a surreal place. We stayed at the Bellagio. They have a fantastic little art gallery with many American masters on display. Walk 25 feet and you are in a poker game.
The whole place reminds me of what Rome must have been at it's most powerful and most decadent.

more ARTS funding for quebec during one of the worst recessions in recent years , are we all suppose to be glad that iggy has his priorities figured out . if this is all that iggy has to offer than maybe we don't need the liberals . i'm not saying don't fund the arts but during a recession it shouldn't be allowed to become our number 1 priority .

Yes, I agree, but Quebec shouldn't get additional funding for arts cause they're Quebec. Unique Quebec art projects should be funded by the Provincial government.
