Tman1 Tman1: The walls of Constantinople will forever stand as a bastion of Christian might against the onslaught of the Muslim horde.
Yup. And without them, modern day Europe would have never formed and Western Civilization as we know it would have been shoved right out into the North Sea and the Atlantic.

We as Historians do not know but only speculate and wonder.

America isnt doing crap, enough said. I think America is doing more to opress the rest of the world than to protect Western civilization....

Consider the Greeks. The Ancient Greeks were racked with war during the Peloponnesian war, then came the Macedonians, later, Christianity. The Greeks did the most, what did the rest? Nobody, It was crumbling and decaying.

I'd say the Romans did the most seeing as though they made all the land walls, sea walls, the Hagia Sophia, etc.
